What's
Moo-Jew Comedy? |
| A: |
Jewish comedians |

at a
Chinese Restaurant |
| |
at Xmas
time. |
Has a new Vermont Jewish Xmas-time tradition taken hold? Any respectable
Jew would clearly answer, "And why not?"
Ancient Hebrew texts and any Rabbi worth his or her salt will confirm that
Jews have congregated for centuries at Chinese restaurants on Xmas Eve.
Moo-Jew Comedy thus provides comedy in Jews' natural habitat. "Why should
anyone have to schlep to a comedy show, when we can bring it right to
them?" shrugged Lorber.
Non-Jews are welcome to Moo-Jew Comedy, especially loud ones. Worried that
some non-Jewish audience members might miss a joke or two, Lorber has a
plan, "We'll have Jewish interpreters who will shrug after each joke and
say, 'You should have come last year.'"
"Last year's Moo-Jew Comedy was sold out. We literally had to turn away
dozens of people at the door," bemoaned Jason P. Lorber, Moo-Jew Comedy
producer, comedian, and eggroll aficionado. "Let's hope this year that
folks buy their tickets early. Haven't we suffered enough already?"

England, and even in a stint in South Africa. |

Central, Seattle's International Comedy Competition, Boston's
Comedy Festival, and elsewhere. |
